October 2020

 October was lots of fun.

For Halloween, we had the fire pit at the bottom of the driveway, and put candy out on a table for social distancing.

Will and I dressed up as "Green with Envy." (We actually dressed up!)

Naomi was a minion, and Alana was a lion.

A lot of the usual fun things were cancelled. But we were able to go trick or treating at the bookstore.

The same day we went to Fiona's baptism! So special!

We had fun little things at home. Like Dan got to hold a robin that flew into our window.

Alana earned her High Brown belt. They had a drive through/costume contest/belt ceremony.

Naomi had a Halloween performance with her theater class at school.  They could only allow two visitors per student. it was a fun little performance.

Alana got her taekwondo pictures. They turned out great!

Will and I had a tea party with Alana. It was a fun little one-on-one time with her.

We had our first snow storm. The kids had a ton of fun playing in it.

One night for FHE, we roasted hotdogs over the fire pit and painted pumpkins.

We went to a fun little pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins.

They had fun activities, like a train, a slide, a zip lines, tubes, and duck races.

One night we all played Bananagrams.  It was a fun group activity.

We decided to get some work done on the yard. The wind storm in September blew down part of the make shift fence. So to get ready for having some rock work done, we took out the fence and some small parts of the deck that were breaking apart.  We are excited to get the yard work done, hopefully in November.

Naomi had some fun with her Arduino kit and spent some time coding with Will. She got her lights to flash!

We have been really blessed. We had one scare, where Naomi was exposed to someone with COVID-19, but she didn't end up getting it. One of our neighbors got it and thought they had exposed us, so they sent us some cookies. But so far, none of us has had it.  Hopefully, this pandemic can calm down soon.
