Ever since Naomi's birthday, she been obsessed with princess dresses. So she decided to make her own. This one reminds me of the yellow dress from Beauty and the Beast.
We also went to a couple yard sales and at one of them, they gave Naomi a wedding dress they had gotten for free. She was ecstatic! It even came with a vail.
Naomi also had the opportunity to go on a long motorcycle ride with Will. They went through Evanston and to the Mirror Lake Highway. She said she had lots of fun except for when her butt went numb.
On July 18th, we went up to Soapstone to spread Dave's ashes. Jamie had a picnic lunch for all of us and there was a short video of a couple things from the funeral. It was a beautiful day.
We have started a project to repaint the house. I am not sure how far we will get to, but so far we have painted the two guest rooms and the basement bathroom. The plan for now is to slowly move upstairs.
We have learned the lesson as to why a glass top table is not a good thing when we live next to a golf course. Haha!
Alana decided she wanted to get bangs. She looks just like me at that age!!
After much convincing for one of the children, they had swimming lessons this month. They had lots of fun and I think there will be less convincing next year.
Will's beard is getting longer. The girl's really love braiding it.
Alana earned her High Red belt in Taekwondo. She is getting close to her black belt!
We went up to Diamond campground for the 24th of July Dutch Oven Cook Off. We tried out our stuffing again but Alana won with an Apple Peach Cobbler.
The kids had loads of fun playing in the creek with all the cousins. They even pulled me in there, on accident.
We had a lot of firsts this month too. I took the girls to Fizz for the first time, and they went to Lagoon for the first time! Grandpa Bill was having his work party and had some extra tickets, so we tagged along! Getting out of the car Naomi was super scared of the rollercoaster and Alana was excited for them. They went on the white roller coaster first with Grandma and Grandpa and both of them quickly changed their minds. Naomi was ready for more and Alana didn't want any more. They went on a few more rides and the lines were getting really long. I want to take them back again when we can spend more time.
After we got home from Lagoon, we quickly packed and jumped on plane to Colorado (yea for frequent flyer miles!) We spent the weekend and helped celebrate Logan's fifth birthday! The girls also had another first of eating at Panda Express.
Monday morning, Will and I got on a plane to go back home and left the girls with Dan and Dana. They had loads of fun! They went swimming every day and went to a Night Out Against Crime. Then Friday, Dana drove them back to Utah, and Dan waited through 8 hours of delays to fly over.
