January brought us some calm time and diving into new projects.
We had gutters put onto the house. They look lovely and work well.
We also did some major decluttering and organizing through the whole house.
The girls also had loads of fun. There was, of course, lots of selfies.
For Christmas, the girls were given a gift card that they were asked to give to a police officer, a firefighter, or soldier that they do not know. So we stopped by the Bountiful City Police Department and told them thank you for your service. Naomi was so worried that we would get arrested for interrupting their work day.
Alana got to participate in the Martin Luther King Jr. Speech Contest at school. She had the whole piece memorized. She got a little nervous and forgot to be expressive and loud, but she did a great job!
That same day, Alana had her Belt Test at Taekwondo. She passed it and is now working on her Gold belt!
After we got home from the belt ceremony, everyone was a little hyped up.
So silly!
We ended the month with both girls having colds and Naomi discovering that she could text and talk to her friends for hours on end on my phone. Oh boy.... This was her being silly and messaging her friends.
